30″ x 48″ x 1″ original spray paint and acrylic painting on stretched canvas.
History of painting:
Beings was created over 2 seperate phases. I started out spray painting the entire canvas in several layers: first layer was the basic solid colors, then I added lined streaks, then splatter, and finally, the figures that became the “Beings”. The second phase was me defining the Beings and bringing them to life. I unlocked the characters in each Being and let them pull my colors off my paintbrush. This painting is to honor my Grandpa who loved aliens and beings and everything related. I hope he sees this wherever the next life has taken him. I love you Poppy.
